When you “Opt for the Co-op”, you Shop, Support & Sustain our Community!
A food cooperative (co-op) is a consumer-owned grocery store, meaning it is owned by people like you and me. When The Community Market food co-op opens, it will be a comprehensive source of local, organic and fairly-traded products, as well as a destination spot for community gatherings, educational opportunities and more. We need your help to make the store a reality! “Opt for the Co-op” by becoming an Owner today!
“We can begin by doing small things at the local level, like planting community gardens or looking out for our neighbors. That is how change takes place in living systems, not from above but from within, from many local actions occurring simultaneously.” –Grace Lee Boggs
We believe that supporting our local farmers and producers is not only the right thing to do, but also the most economical choice. By purchasing as much and as often as we can locally, we not only secure fresh food, we build a strong economy by keeping financial support in our community.

The Community Market will be a full service grocery store for residents of Southern Wake and surrounding counties that creates community by offering economic sharing, healthy foods and products, as well as educational opportunities in one convenient location.
Cooperatives are led, operated and funded by and for the community!
Co-op’s aren’t just a fabulous place to get local, healthy foods. The Community Market Co-op will be a business owned by the people who shop there and who will have a say in the co-op’s business decisions.
